I was only fourteen years old when I fell in love. He was the man all girls dream of. Handsome, strong, captain of the football team, and a strong personality. He was eighteen and my girlfriends and I could hardly believe he would be interested in me as the other senior boys just sneered at us.

I am sure now that he was attracted to me not because I was pretty and had a good body but simply because he recognized the fact that I adored him and would do anything for him.

He started testing me on our first date. He had asked me to go to a dance at his fathers country club.

All my friends were happy for me except for Myrna and Ethel who told me that he had probably just asked me to make one of his regular girlfriends jealous and that as soon as he found out how dumb and inexperienced I was he would drop me like a hot potato. I was determined to prove them wrong.

I had only been on a few dates if you could call them that. The boys didn't have cars and we just rode our bikes to see the movies where we held hands. Myrna had a few real dates so I told her that I wasn't sure how to act with an older boy.
